Fruit
Shinseiki
A tier
Shinseiki is an early yellow-skinned Asian pear—smooth green-gold finish without heavy russet, medium size, and sweet mild flesh that softens slightly more than some rock-hard russets while staying crisp. Flavour is clean and light, less complex than Hosui, with high juice. Early harvest helps fill the start of nashi season. Excellent chilled for lunchboxes and early market stands. Skin shows fingerprints and scuffs easily because it lacks thick russet armour. Eat within a reasonable cold-storage window; it is not the longest keeper among Asian pears.
