Beverage
Tavel
Tavel is a dry, full-coloured Rhône rosé from the eponymous appellation—deeper pink to light ruby, with red fruit, spice, and enough structure to age modestly and partner rich food. Grenache leads blends with other southern Rhône varieties; long local tradition treats Tavel as a serious table wine, not a pale aperitif only. Body and dry finish set it apart from ultra-light summer pinks. Cook with Tavel for grilled lamb, aioli-rich fish platters, and Provençal stews; it reduces into savoury sauces without collapsing. The deeper colour and structure handle tomato and garlic better than the palest rosés. Keep bottles dry and sound—Tavel is not a sweet blush style.
