Spice
Rajapore
B tier
Rajapore (also seen as Rajapuri-related trade spellings) is an Indian turmeric type associated with western production zones and a balanced colour-flavour profile for general spice use. Fingers polish to a solid yellow-orange without always matching Alleppey’s deepest dye strength. It appears in older spice merchant lists alongside better-known port grades. A practical mid-tier choice for home dabbas and small manufacturers who need reliable colour at moderate cost. Grind as needed for pickles and wet masalas. If a recipe specifies Alleppey for dye strength, Rajapore may need a slightly heavier hand to match visual intensity.
