Royal Palm
C tier
Royal Palm is a striking black-and-white patterned turkey developed as an ornamental and utility bird, smaller and more compact than commercial roast types. The meat is fine-grained and flavourful in a petite package—better for small households or as a second bird than for feeding a large holiday table alone. Roast whole like a large chicken or joint for pan sauces and grill. Because of lighter frame and less extreme breast, moisture is easier to manage; seasoning can be bolder—citrus, chili, and herb butters work well. Seek farm-raised birds; pure ornamental lines may be leaner and benefit from careful basting.
