Vegetable
Ruby Red
A tier
Ruby Red (rhubarb chard) has vivid crimson stems and red-tinted leaf veins against dark green blades—striking and slightly more beet-like in flavour intensity. Excellent for colour on the plate. Stems stay dramatic when not overboiled. Braise stems in butter; wilt leaves with garlic. A single-colour alternative to rainbow mixes. Popular heirloom-style red chard.
