Tyee

Vegetable

Tyee

A tier

Tyee is a semi-savoy hybrid spinach known for bolt resistance relative to older types and dark green leaves for spring and summer shoulder production. Flavour is classic spinach without extreme oxalic harshness when young. Pacific Northwest breeding associations gave the name regional fame before wider adoption. Good for gardeners fighting early bolt; still not a tropical green. Steam, sauté, or pick baby. Semi-savoy texture balances washability and cooking substance.
