Jubileum is a Hungarian sour cherry with large dark fruit, rich flavour, and firm flesh that appeals to fresh-market and processing growers seeking quality beyond bulk Montmorency. Arils of juice are dark; eating quality with sugar is excellent for a tart type. It represents Central European breeding strength in cerasus. Use for premium preserves, chocolate desserts, and darker pies. Less ubiquitous in US commodity streams but valued where planted. Harvest fully coloured for best sugar-acid balance.
