Pushal
A tier
Pushal (or pushali) is an Iranian grade where red stigmas remain attached to a length of yellow style—less concentrated by weight than sargol because of the pale portion, but still genuine saffron with good aroma. The look is red tips with yellowish tails. It is more affordable for everyday Persian cookery when pure red strength is not critical. Use slightly more by weight than sargol for similar colour. Styles contribute little dye; some cooks snip them. Pushal is honest graded saffron, not a fake—just a different trim economy.
