Texture is still woody-bitter; surface remains varnished red-orange. Sold whole as dramatic dried shapes for gifts and slow decoctions. Break antlers into pieces for the pot. Surface area helps extraction. Form is morphological, not a separate wild species—usually G. lucidum/lingzhi genetics grown for antlers.
