Sunrise is a Solo-class papaya with reddish-orange flesh and a perfume that many tasters find richer than plain yellow-orange Solo strains. Fruit stays small to medium and pear-shaped, with thin skin that colours attractively for retail. It became a favourite for fresh cut fruit programmes and hotel breakfasts in tropical tourism markets. Serve scooped from the skin or diced into tropical platters with pineapple and mango. Flavour peaks when flesh is fully coloured and slightly soft—not hard and pale. Keep cut fruit cold; surface sugars ferment quickly in heat.
