Swedish Red

B tier

Swedish Red (Swedish Red-and-White lineage) is a Nordic dairy breed selected for health, fertility, and solid milk solids rather than Holstein-only volume. Milk is clean-tasting with balanced fat and protein, suited to Scandinavia’s liquid milk and cheese traditions. Use Swedish Red milk as excellent everyday drinking milk and for semi-hard Nordic cheeses. It steams well and cultures cleanly. Crossbreeding programmes often use Swedish Red genetics to improve Holstein herd health while keeping useful milk yield.
