Ongole
C tier
Ongole cattle from Andhra Pradesh are large white-grey zebu famous internationally as ancestors of American Nellore beef lines, but in India they also supply village milk. Yield is modest by specialised dairy standards; flavour is clean mild tropical cow’s milk. Ongole milk serves local curd and cooking needs more than branded dairy. Brazilian and global fame is mostly beef genetics; for milk, look to Indian farm systems still milking Ongole or grades.
