Kerry cattle are Ireland’s small, black heritage dairy breed from County Kerry—hardy on rough western grazing. Milk is clean with decent butterfat for the cow’s size, historically making farmhouse butter and household milk in challenging Atlantic climates. Kerry milk is rare and conservation-linked. Farm-gate sales offer light, honest dairy character. Use for drinking and small-batch cultured products; volume will never match commercial Holstein pools.
