Dairy
Belgian Blue
C tier
Belgian Blue is primarily a double-muscled beef breed; milk is not its commercial purpose. Dairy use is limited to nursing calves and occasional dual-registered lines, with lower lactation emphasis than true dairy breeds. Any milk is mild and modest in volume compared with Holstein or Jersey. Do not expect Belgian Blue milk on retail shelves. In mixed farms it may enter household use or local pools in tiny amounts. Culinary character is unremarkable mild cow’s milk—interesting only as a rarity, not a dairy standard.
