Gold Kiwi

Fruit

Gold Kiwi

S tier

Gold Kiwi refers to yellow-fleshed Actinidia chinensis market fruit—smoother less fuzzy skin than green Hayward, tropical-honey flavour, and lower acid that many find candy-like. Early gold programmes and later improved clones created a premium category beside green volume fruit. Flesh is luminous yellow with a ring of small seeds. Eat fresh for maximum aroma; excellent in fruit platters where green kiwi’s tartness would dominate. Skin is often thinner—some people eat it. Ripen until fragrant and softly yielding.
