Red Globe is a large seeded red table grape with meaty flesh, thick skin, and showy clusters that ship long distances. Flavour is moderately sweet with less perfume than muscats; the appeal is size, crunch, and colour on platters. Seeds are a trade-off against texture and appearance. Best eaten out of hand or on cheese boards where dramatic berries matter. Can roast lightly with savoury meats. Peel or seed if using in refined salads; many diners simply spit seeds. Choose firm berries with bloom intact.
