Semi-pearled Farro

Grain

Semi-pearled Farro

A tier

Semi-pearled farro (semi-perlato) keeps part of the bran while shortening cook time versus fully whole berries—about 25–35 minutes—with more flavour and colour than fully pearled. It is the compromise grade many Italian brands recommend for balanced nutrition and practicality. Grains show partial bran streaking. Rinse and simmer; texture stays pleasantly firm. Excellent all-purpose farro for home kitchens. Prefer it when full pearled tastes too soft and whole farro takes too long.
