Chenopodium ambrosioides is the older botanical name still seen on seed packets and herbals for epazote. Culinary behaviour is identical to Dysphania ambrosioides—same skunky-herbal punch for beans and soups. If a catalogue uses Chenopodium, you are still buying epazote. Dose carefully; traditional use includes medicinal contexts that differ from culinary pinches. Cook fresh leaves, do not expect dried to equal them.
