Kadaknath eggs are tinted brown eggs from the black-meat Indian breed of Madhya Pradesh, valued regionally for both meat and eggs with a robust, country-hen flavour. Shells are not black; contents cook like flavourful free-range chicken eggs. Often sold near production areas as a desi (indigenous) egg alternative to white commercial hybrids. Yolks can be deeply coloured on traditional feeds.
