Bantam

B tier

Bantam eggs come from miniature chicken breeds and are roughly half to two-thirds the size of standard large eggs, with full chicken-egg flavour in a petite package. They suit children’s portions, elegant breakfast plates, and recipes where smaller units help with portion control. Use two bantams to replace one large chicken egg by volume as a rough guide, or weigh for baking. Shells may be white, brown, or tinted depending on breed.
