Fruit
Chanee
A tier
Chanee is an early-season Thai durian with smaller fruit than Monthong, yellowish arils, and a stronger smell with finer, slightly drier texture. It often reaches markets before peak Monthong volume, filling the start of Thai durian season. Flavour is sweet with character; some prefer it to milder late commercial fruit. Excellent fresh when fully ripe and as a seasonal marker on Thai menus. Because it is earlier, quality can be rushed—choose fruit that opens cleanly. Pairs with sticky rice like other Thai clones.
