Rosecomb

C tier

Rosecomb is an old British true bantam named for its broad rose comb, also noted for large round white earlobes and tightly carried plumage in many colour varieties. Birds are ornamental show fowl; meat is mild and scarce in quantity, suited only to petite roast or stock use. Culinary role is negligible commercially, but historically small English bantams supplemented cottage diets. Modern Rosecombs are kept for exhibition excellence, with food value a distant secondary consideration.
