Birds are selected for high egg numbers, feed efficiency, and docile temperament in backyard and small commercial systems rather than as a closed heritage breed. Spent hens and surplus males enter the poultry meat stream as lean, mild cooking chicken suited to boiling, shredding, soup, mince, and everyday roasting—not premium slow-grown table genetics. As a commercial hybrid layer type, carcasses are lighter and firmer than dedicated broiler hybrids.
