Cream Legbar is a British autosexing breed developed from Leghorn, Barred Rock, and Araucana genetics, producing cream-coloured plumage and blue to blue-green eggs. Light and active, Cream Legbars are primarily layers but dress as lean dual-purpose table birds with fine-grained meat and modest carcass weight. Young birds roast well whole; older hens suit stock, pies, and braises. Free-range flavour is clean and mild, with dark meat carrying more character than the lean breast—ideal for traditional British roast chicken when carefully timed to avoid dryness.
