Pierce

Fruit

Pierce

A tier

Pierce is a US cherimoya selection with good flavour and orchard performance in mild California coastal climates—green scaled fruit ripening to fragrant cream pulp. It is less ubiquitous than Bays but valued by collectors and small commercial groves seeking staggered harvests. Texture is soft-spoonable at peak. Handle like other cherimoyas: mature harvest, home ripen, gentle cold after ripe. Seeds are inedible. Market as specialty tropical; label variety for enthusiasts. Avoid long refrigerated storage of unripe fruit.
