Concha Lisa

Fruit

Concha Lisa

A tier

Concha Lisa (“smooth shell”) is a Latin American cherimoya type selected for relatively smooth skin that ships and grades more easily than heavily tuberculate fruit. Flesh is creamy and sweet with classic cherimoya perfume when properly ripened. Commercial plantings in Chile and elsewhere have used smooth-skinned lines for export appearance. Export programmes favour the clean look; flavour still depends on harvest maturity and ethene management. Serve spoon-soft. Smooth skin shows bruises clearly—pad packing counts. Compare with Fino de Jete for European vs Pacific-South American supply stories.
