Wheat Beer

Beverage

Wheat Beer

Wheat beer uses a high proportion of wheat malt for soft body, pale haze, and flavours of clove, banana (German weissbier yeast), or citrus-coriander (Belgian wit). Acidity is gentle; hops stay in the background. Excellent with fish batters, vegetable tempura, and creamy chicken—wheat softness tenderises coatings. Avoid long bittering reductions; serve-side splash preserves aroma. Clear American wheat ales are milder kitchen options than phenolic weissbier.
