Fruit
Pinkerton
A tier
Pinkerton is a long-necked green avocado with pebbly skin, small seed, and excellent flesh recovery—rich, creamy, and nutty in a way that competes with Hass for quality. Fruit is elongated and can be large; skin stays green when soft. Midseason timing bridges other California cultivars. Favoured by chefs for high flesh-to-seed ratio and fine texture. Peel carefully around the neck. Less ubiquitous in commodity bins than Hass but worth seeking at specialty grocers and local stands.
