Fruit
Goldrich
A tier
Goldrich is a large, very firm orange apricot bred for shipping and cold storage better than soft heirlooms—skin is deep orange with red blush, flesh holds for slicing, and acid stays noticeable under the sugar. Flavour is clean and bright rather than musky-honey deep. Commercial packs favour that firmness even when connoisseurs miss Blenheim perfume. Good for retail fresh programmes, fruit trays, and cooked applications where pieces keep shape. Ripen carefully off the tree if bought hard; aroma should develop before you judge it dull. A modern trade apricot more than a drying legend.
