BRS Poraque is another Embrapa-released acai selection emphasising vigorous palms and reliable fruit set for managed floodplain and upland-edge plantings. Pulp character remains the signature oily purple mash—less about novelty flavour, more about agronomic predictability for Pará’s pulp economy. Clusters can be dense when nutrition and water match the palm’s floodplain heritage. Process into frozen blocks and purees for export brands. Sensory differences from BRS Pará are subtle compared with harvest ripeness and post-harvest speed. Keep fruit cold and depulp within hours. Market still sells the category, not the BRS code, on smoothie-bar menus.
