Fruit
BRS Pará
A tier
BRS Pará is an Embrapa-selected Euterpe oleracea type aimed at higher pulp yield and more uniform fruiting for commercial Amazon plantings. Berries remain the classic deep purple with oily flesh, but plantation architecture and harvest windows suit scaled pulp factories better than purely wild stands. Flavour stays earthy-cacao with modest natural sugar. Use identically to bulk acai pulp—bowls, ice creams, and energy drinks. The cultivar name matters more to growers and processors than to retail labels, which usually say only “acai.” Expect consistent mill recovery rather than a radically new taste. Freeze pulp fast after depulping to lock colour and fat quality.
